Other forms of processing
Ace have a range of different processes to best suit the requirements of each individual job.
Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM)
The process of wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) utilises a thin metal wire that is electrically charged to cut intricate shapes in metals & alloys. ACE employs this technique individually or combined with etching to provide an extremely precise component with high aspect ratios.
With the demand of the customer required a broader range of material thicknesses, ACE have responded with providing either laser cutting or water jet cutting. Uniquely we can also offer laser cutting of copper which until recently has been unavailable.
Microprocessor controlled spot welding and microspot welding are offered. We are able to control the integrity, penetration and repeatability of the weld by purpose built microprocessor controllers that can cope with different material types and thicknesses. We believe this is unique within the etching industry.
Customer demand for reducing suppliers has led us down the assembly route adding value to the component part. We are able to undertake complex assemblies and have dedicated cells for customers
We are able to provide a complete range of plating finishes that include Gold, Silver, Nickel, Tin and Tin Lead, selected insulation protection, heat treatment and passivation
